Turquoise & Copper Necklace

A year or so ago I developed a love of hand dyed yarn. The different blends of colors are very original and each skein of wool is unique.

Although I knit, I'm not what you'd call a knitter. A knitter is someone who can churn out hats like they're cookies and whip up a cowl up in a couple of hours. I'm more of a hobbyist. I love to knit fingerless gloves, cushion covers and cowls/scarves but it takes me a while. A long while. I love to knit though, it's like mental yoga and since the pace of my life is quite frenetic, it's my emotional therapy.

Over the last year I have amassed quite the collection of beautiful hand dyed yarn and I was trying to think of what to do with it (since I have not yet mastered the art of knitting socks) when I found an old necklace I had made when I was young. It was quite simple, just a copper pendant and some cord. This sparked an idea and this necklace was born.

I hope you like it. There will be more to come :)
