My mom used to make a mean apple crumble that I just couldn't get enough of. I'd eat it for breakfast, lunch and supper if I could (in fact I did a couple of times). I loved the combination of the tart apples mixed with the sweet crumble and of course I'd pour some cream over top just as it came out of the oven. Yuuummmmieeee!!
So when I saw this recipe for raspberry apple crumble over on Herriot Grace I just couldn't resist posting it. I had never thought to mix raspberries with the apples. Seems somewhat daring in my book. However, after you read the recipe I'm sure any doubts you have about mixing these two fruits will be completely undone.
