Although the versatility of avocados cannot be denied, one area I did not see them fitting in was dessert. It's not that I haven't been open to the idea, it's just that I have tried to make chocolate avocado mousse before and to say that is was lackluster was an understatement. Yes, it was ALRIGHT but certainly nothing to write home about and certainly not an acceptable replacement for the real thing.
A few days ago I stumbled across a Pinterest pin for chocolate avocado mousse and thought that the ingredients looked much better than the ones I had used to make my previous attempt so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I can tell you that this version is much better, in fact it is much much better. It is also crazy easy to make, you just melt the chocolate and then throw it in a blender or food processor with the rest of the ingredients, chill for a bit, and then pipe (if you like a fancier look like I do) into a small bowl and serve. Healthy and Yummy!
