Before I jump into the story, here's a little info for you. Homepolish offers a personal interior design service by the hour. This makes it pretty easy for anyone to get design advice no matter the budget. From a complete renovation to a simple room redo, Homepolish can help.
So how does it work? Well, after a preliminary complimentary consultation a designer will be selected for you and will supply you with a customized design proposal to suit your needs. After reviewing the proposal you can buy blocks of time to execute the design. You can purchase a single-day session of 3 hours or a design package of 10+ hours. Please click here for more info.
This example is of PhD candidate and blogger Rebecca La Prade's Palo Alto apartment's transformation. Rebecca decided that she wanted her apartment to better reflect her style and hired designer Michael Hilal of Homepolish to accomplish her vision. Rebecca wanted a black, white and pink décor with metallic accents and Michael did that and more. Rebecca's blank canvas was transformed into a stunning monochromatic apartment.
However, for me, the best part of this story is that Rebecca had so many shoes that most of the kitchen was turned into Fashion storage. Way to go Michael! I love it when designers find creative solutions for their clients and this one definitely pulls on my heart strings.
